Bill Valentine has worked in the investment business for over 25 years. He was born and raised in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, majoring in Finance. The CFA Institute awarded him with the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1993. He holds the Series 2 & 65 licenses.
Prior to founding Valentine Ventures in 1997, Bill worked at Piper Jaffray & Hopwood, EF Hutton, and Fisher Investments. For six years, he was the host of “The Rich Life with Bill Valentine”, a syndicated radio talk show. Previously, he penned “The InvestMentor,” a syndicated column about investing. He’s noted for several prescient(and a few not-so-prescient) calls including the forewarning of the Real Estate Crash.
Bill is a member of The CFA Institute – Portland Society and American Mensa. Previously, Bill served on the boards of The High Desert Museum, Habitat for Humanity – San Francisco and The Cinnabar Arts Corporation. Bill enjoys mountain biking, fly fishing for steelhead, and independent films. He and his wife Jessica are the parents of four young men.
As an Advisor with Valentine Ventures, Andrew works to develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive wealth management strategies designed to grow and protect the wealth of individuals, families, and non-profit organizations. Andrew has nine years of experience in comprehensive financial planning with advanced knowledge in investment strategies, retirement income planning, tax planning, risk management, estate planning, and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Valentine Ventures, Andrew worked in the Wealth Management division of USAA – a Fortune 500 company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. While at USAA, he co-founded the company’s National Planning Team, an internal team specializing in financial planning tools and analysis for USAA’s financial advisors nationwide.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in both Marketing and International Business from Indiana University. In addition, Andrew is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level II candidate. Andrew and his wife Jessica enjoy traveling, hiking/trail running, skiing, music festivals, and being out on the water as much as possible. They have a young daughter.
JaiDee’s financial career started at Smith Barney, where she worked in client services, trading, and brokerage operations. While there she earned her Series 7 & 63 securities licenses. As Valentine Ventures’ most tenured employee, her responsibilities include the monitoring and management of security position sizes for all accounts, as well as the buying and selling of all securities based on the model portfolios developed by Mr. Valentine. JaiDee graduated from Blue Mountain Community College with an agriculture degree.
JaiDee enjoys hunting, photographing the Old West, horses, and competing in rodeos in her free time with her husband BJ.
Carol has 20 years of financial services operations experience. She started her career at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), where she handled many different aspects of investment operations, and continued at State Street Investment Manager Solutions in the same capacity for a total of 18 years. She most recently worked as a retail banking operations manager at Bank of the Cascades.
Carol graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting.
Carol and her husband have three daughters, and Carol enjoys spending time with family, traveling, skiing, and enjoying the outdoors.
Michael began as an intern and has evolved into the position and title of Associate. As an Associate, Michael performs a range of tasks from Operations to Research to Back Office/Administration. Michael will earn his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in International Business, from Oregon State University in the summer of 2017. He earned the Academic Excellence Award from Central Oregon Community College in 2015.
Being on the water, adventuring throughout beautiful Central Oregon, and participating in various sports are some of the many activities that Michael enjoys in his free time. He also spends much of his time volunteering with the middle school and high school youth groups at his church.
